Pietro had seen that statue in Scott's office. Few people knew it, but Pietro was a pretty good admirer of art. When your world moves fast, you have lots of time for hobbies.

But that statue... it didn't seem right just being hidden away on a desk. No, in fact, it looks like something that would be great at the bottom of the grand staircase... ornaments on the railings, you know the type.

Of course, it was something that while he could probably do well enough on his own, it was always good to share the blame fun.

Which was why Mike would be getting an e-mail in his inbox.

Subject: Do you like art?

Mike,

You know, we don't hang out that often. I was thinking that perhaps you'd enjoy this nice art exhibt that I've discovered. I think that you'll find the subject very revealing, and might get some inspiration.

PS - Did you ever get any fallout from Scott's credit cards when he and Emma were chibified? They haven't said a thing to me at all...

Mike can not for the life of him remember if he's spoken to either Emma or Scott since they were debabied, but he figures he'd have remembered if they killed him, so he writes back:

While waiting for the e-mail to come back, Pietro did some quick internet research and had something waiting.

Mike stares at the statue. Then he stares some more. Then says "oh my god". And then he stares. And then he emails Pietro back.

I'm speechless. Where is the statue now? More importantly, why isn't it, say, on a plinth in the mansion's entrance hall? So people can truly appreciate it's artistic value. Yes, 'artistic value' works.

Also, yes, you might have turned evil again. People turn evil all the time. And come back from the dead. Sometimes they even come back from the dead evil, just to show off. It's very strange.

Also, also, does the mansion still have that duplication machine thing?

Well, there's one on Scott's desk. And no, I'm not asking. But I was thinking that it would look particarily nice as say, oh, ornaments on the railings on the grand staircase. I think that having it as a large statue in the main hall *MIGHT* be asking for trouble, especially since Scott would have to keep Remy and Bobby from gawking.

Then again... that could be fun to watch.

No, I haven't turned evil. I leave that for others in my family.

And yes, the mansion does. And I just happen to have a key card that lets me into it.

Pietro shook his head and got up, opening the door.

"Tis the wind and nothing more?" He smirked and let Mike in.

"'Tis some visitor entreating entrance... Aaand I've forgotten the rest. But that's not as important as," he lowers his voice, grinning, "breaking into Scott's office."

"I could probably sit here and quote it for you, but yes, it's not as important as that." He shut his door a moment so that no one passing by would be suspicious of them.

Because seriously... Mike and Pietro together in the same room... never ended well for the other people.

"You convince Rachael?"

"I think so! But just to be on the safe side, we should be fast and sneaky. And we're quite good at at least half of that, so." He beams. "Plan: Scott's office, duplicator, everywhere in the mansion."

Plans don't need details!

"Fast I can do." Pietro made the calculations in his head. "It'll all depend on how fast the duplicator works and how many we want to make."

He grinned. "I'll be RIGHT back."

He went to the door, took a quick look outside, then took off.

In ten seconds he was back, cradling the Emma statue in his arms.

"Step two."

"Superspeed is so cool." Mike examines the statue. "Wow. It's even more tacky in person. I'm surprised Ms. Emma hasn't brain-melted anyone."

He claps his hands together. "Right! I know a few tricks to make the duplicator run faster, you've got the key card right? How many do we need -- a dozen? Two?"

Good thing Pietro's fast. he's good at dodging.

"Mike, turn off that crazy thing!" he shouts, trying to dodge and catch at the same time.

The cable continues to resist. Bloody Cable.

Oh, hang on, massive telekinetic powers! Yoink! Shvvvoooooo... click.

It stopped.

"It stopped!"

Also, they seem to have gained rather a lot of statues.

"...see, I told you I could make it go quick!"

Pietro kept dodging, then Emma's first TK shout hit him and he gave a grunt, then shouted as one of the statues did manage to hit him because he was distracted.

He looked at the statues and Mike. "Well, we have to move fast. Emma's onto us."

And he held his head as Emma shouted again, adding Mike's name to the list.

"We're dead... might as well finish this so we have a purpose to our deaths."

"Good point." Bounds across the room and pokes at the computer terminal until it gives him blueprints of the house and gardens. "Clearly we should put some here and here, and there, and a trail down and around there and up there and how many do we have?" He looks around. "Right, and finish off there! Excellent!"

"Got it. I'll do the house, you get the rest to the gardens and I'll meet you there. that way we can get the hell out of dodge once we're done." he picked up a handful.

"Good plan." Searches his pockets, pulls out his X-Palm, takes a snapshot of the big pile of Emma statues, "for posterity", and then telekinetically snags the rest and flies out to arrange them in the gardens.

Pietro's off and running, putting them all over the mansion, getting the original back on Scott's desk while avoiding Scott and Emma in the hallway, hiding two spare ones in a secret panal in his room for "later", and even getting one at the top of the Christmas Tree to replace the Santa... but of course putting the hat on the statue, before meeting Mike in the gardens.

Emmas line the basketball court, loop around the pool, spiral up the rise and decorate the pagoda on top of which Mike is sitting, taking photos.

Pietro saunters over, sitting down.

"You know, I'm afraid of what Emma and Scott are going to plan in revenge... so I'm glad you're getting photos to back us up later."

"It does seem odd that she hasn't blasted us with her brain yet," Mike says, uploading the photos to Fred's mainframe. "Perhaps she was just yelling earlier because, um. Aliens were invading again, or something?"

The school bell rings the start of recess. Mike grins, waiting for people to notice the statues.
