Pietro had seen that statue in Scott's office. Few people knew it, but Pietro was a pretty good admirer of art. When your world moves fast, you have lots of time for hobbies.

But that statue... it didn't seem right just being hidden away on a desk. No, in fact, it looks like something that would be great at the bottom of the grand staircase... ornaments on the railings, you know the type.

Of course, it was something that while he could probably do well enough on his own, it was always good to share the blame fun.

Which was why Mike would be getting an e-mail in his inbox.

Mike,

You know, we don't hang out that often. I was thinking that perhaps you'd enjoy this nice art exhibt that I've discovered. I think that you'll find the subject very revealing, and might get some inspiration.

Pietro

PS - Did you ever get any fallout from Scott's credit cards when he and Emma were chibified? They haven't said a thing to me at all...

Mike can not for the life of him remember if he's spoken to either Emma or Scott since they were debabied, but he figures he'd have remembered if they killed him, so he writes back:

I am intrigued. Where are you?

Also, no fallout. Should I be worried? Do you think they're planning revenge? Does the revenge involve art? Are you leading me into a trap? Stay good, Pietro! Stay good!

While waiting for the e-mail to come back, Pietro did some quick internet research and had something waiting.

Hiding in my office, like usual. Yes, it involves art. In fact, this particular piece.

Link to Emma Statue (http://stoic-slim.livejournal.com/32806.html?style=mine)

I find this piece to be very true to the character. What about you?

And would I ever lead you into a trap?

Mike stares at the statue. Then he stares some more. Then says "oh my god". And then he stares. And then he emails Pietro back.

I'm speechless. Where is the statue now? More importantly, why isn't it, say, on a plinth in the mansion's entrance hall? So people can truly appreciate it's artistic value. Yes, 'artistic value' works.

Also, yes, you might have turned evil again. People turn evil all the time. And come back from the dead. Sometimes they even come back from the dead evil, just to show off. It's very strange.

Also, also, does the mansion still have that duplication machine thing?

Well, there's one on Scott's desk. And no, I'm not asking. But I was thinking that it would look particarily nice as say, oh, ornaments on the railings on the grand staircase. I think that having it as a large statue in the main hall *MIGHT* be asking for trouble, especially since Scott would have to keep Remy and Bobby from gawking.

Then again... that could be fun to watch.

No, I haven't turned evil. I leave that for others in my family.

And yes, the mansion does. And I just happen to have a key card that lets me into it.

Have I mentioned lately how much I like you?

Hang on, I'm bribing Rachel to distract Scott and Emma for a bit. She loves me like the brother she never had. No, really.

No, but that's always nice to hear :)

I haven't heard from Rachel in a long time. Send her my love and undying appreciation if she'll help.

You know where my office is. Come knock when you get here

What is that tapping, as of some one gently rapping, rapping at your office door?

Oh, wait, it's me.

There's a knock at the door.

Pietro shook his head and got up, opening the door.

"Tis the wind and nothing more?" He smirked and let Mike in.

"'Tis some visitor entreating entrance... Aaand I've forgotten the rest. But that's not as important as," he lowers his voice, grinning, "breaking into Scott's office."

"I could probably sit here and quote it for you, but yes, it's not as important as that." He shut his door a moment so that no one passing by would be suspicious of them.

Because seriously... Mike and Pietro together in the same room... never ended well for the other people.

"You convince Rachael?"

"I think so! But just to be on the safe side, we should be fast and sneaky. And we're quite good at at least half of that, so." He beams. "Plan: Scott's office, duplicator, everywhere in the mansion."

Plans don't need details!

"Fast I can do." Pietro made the calculations in his head. "It'll all depend on how fast the duplicator works and how many we want to make."

He grinned. "I'll be RIGHT back."

He went to the door, took a quick look outside, then took off.

In ten seconds he was back, cradling the Emma statue in his arms.

"Step two."

"Superspeed is so cool." Mike examines the statue. "Wow. It's even more tacky in person. I'm surprised Ms. Emma hasn't brain-melted anyone."

He claps his hands together. "Right! I know a few tricks to make the duplicator run faster, you've got the key card right? How many do we need -- a dozen? Two?"

"Yes, it is. I would kill myself if I ever had to revert back to normal speed."

He looked at the statue. "Well, all depends. We can either make enough to ornate the grand staircase, or would you think that they would make great garden gnomes out in the garden?"

Duh.

"Or maybe a trail of little ones leading out to one large one in the garden."

Pietro rubbed his eyes "I'm not getting images of it being a water foutain, and espeically not of where the water would come out of..."

He was so going to get hit if Emma read his thoughts... or she told Scott what he was thinking.

Oh god, please Rachael be distracting them good

"Let's get to the duplicator and we can figure it out there." He held up the keycard. "Need a lift?"

"Nah, you'll make too much wind if you're carrying me at superspeed around the mansion. Um... oh! I'll fly out, nip in under the baseball court, you can let me in the back way. Gimme fifteen seconds?"

He's already waving the window open.

"Sure."

He waited, counting the seconds, then when he knew how long he needed, he took off for the room with the duplicator in it, getting there just as Mike did and opened the door for him.

"Welcome to the duplicator room, home of the duplicator." He smirked as he put the statue down on the machine.

"Gadgets are so cool." Mike bounds around the machine and waves the service plate off. "Just a little adjustment here and there, and we'll bypass that and--" He lifts his head up and looks around. "Is there still a link to the backup generator down here? Otherwise all the power in the mansion will go flickering as soon as I turn this overclocked baby on."

hahahah!

Pietro ran over to the computer and pulled up the skematics for the mansion, filtering it down to the electrical inputs and outputs.

"As long as it's in the right outlet. The one against that wall is, the one on that wall isn't." He pointed at walls, but as he usually does, he moved his arms really fast.

Pietro turned in time to see Mike plug the thing into the WRONG outlet and turn it on.

The lights flickered. Bad. Like, it was very obvious a heavy piece of machinery turned on.

"I said this one, NOT that one!" Pietro shouted, then muttered romanian curses under his breath.

"Oh, the OTHER left!" Mike tries to pull the plug out. It sparks wildly. The duplicator starts firing out Emma-statue copies.
