TM - Random Acts of Kindness
Dec. 24th, 2005 10:25 pmI remember it well. It was last year, just a few months after I had joined the Brotherhood. Rogue had already gone over to the X-Men, and Mystique had disappeared on us, leaving me, Toad, Lance and Freddy all by ourselves with no money or support.
To survive, we had all made agreements on what we were going to do in the house. Lance and i went out to work, Freddy kept the house from getting messy and Toad... Toad just stayed out of the way.
Well, Lance and I got crappy jobs waiting tables for the summer, and one day Duncan came in with a few of his buddies. Of course they HAD to sit in my section.
I tried to be nice, but of course they started stuff, and well, before we knew it Duncan was wearing his lunch and Lance and I were being thrown out of the place, fired with a warning never to return.
We hadn't been paid, so of course we had no food. Sitting on the curb, we had to come up with a plan quickly, because there was nothing in the house, and we didn't really want to go back to stealing the stuff again if we didn't have to,
That's when Kitty showed up. Don't know how or why... well, the why was probably Lance but what they saw in each other I still don't get... but she came over with a tray of food. She knew the problems we were going through, and said that it was going to go to waste at the mansion, so why not give it to us?
We took itwe're not stupid after all and headed back, and it was probably the worst food we had ever eaten... but we were really grateful for it. No one has ever done anything like that for us before, especially just randomly come to us with food... it was a big shock.
So yeah, while we always make fun of Kitty and Lance, we never really have any big grudge against her when it comes to fighting against the X-Men. Course we can't SHOW that if the rest of the group is around, but have you ever seen us really try to hurt her? No, course not. Because Kitty is probably the kindest person we know, and none of us want to see anything bad happen to her.
