Holiday Madness

semihero_pietroWe had Christmas at the Brotherhood House the other day. Was pretty cool. We had cut down a tree during the middle of the night from the Xavier Institute and made ornaments out of things we had around the house and from other people's lawns
I never would have thought that a garden gnome would make a great tree topper, especially after a paint job of red and green spray paint!
Then we had gifts. Mainly things we had foundor borrowed so that everyone got at least something. Lance got me a new pair of sneakers, since I wear mine out all the time. Toad got me a few bags of pixie sticks, which I don't even think there are any left. And Freddy... he spent a week in the backyard digging up the grass, nd we didn't know why, but last night he borrowed a cement truck and laid out a square block of cemenet, and then put a bucket on the truck of a tree outside, and made us all a basketball court! Now, I don't give Fred alot of credit for the brains department, but that was probably the best present he could have gotten. It's something we can all do together.
And Wanda... well, I'm just glad she didn't hex me today. That's a gift in itself.
I got her these beautiful red and black spiderweb earrings, and when I gave them to her, she just growled at me, then walked away. She really doesn't get into the holiday spirit anymore, especially after... well, yeah.
So after that, we had enough money to get our traditional holiday dinner... a large pizza with everything on it.
Now we have a week off from school, and the weather is actually pretty good right now, so I think we should go test out our new gift!
Then I think I'll take a run down into the city and see maybe if maybe Mimi might want to go get some coffee or something, if she's not busy or working.
