Pietro is a very co-dependant person. His dependency on his twin sister, Wanda Maximoff, is extreme and he is affected by events that happen to his sister. There is proof of a "twin bond" shared between them that makes Pietro aware of his sister's physical and psychological state beyond what can be measured by science.
Pietro suffers from pressures of family and inheritence. Since the revelation of his birth father (Lensherr, Eric - aka Magneto), he has slowly withdrawn into himself and cut himself off from society. He fears showing affection to his father as it would prove to be following him, yet he unconciously searches for Eric's attention and approval.
Pietro has abandonment issues. This streams unconciously from being abandoned at birth, but most recently from his marriage to Crystal Maximoff, who he is currently seperated from, as well as the aftermath of ONSLAUGHT. It has been noted that Pietro can become unfocused and irrational in times where he feels he is about to be abandoned.
Pietro relies on the views of others to build his own self confidence.
Pietro is overly cautious and protective of his sister and daughter to extreme measures.
