While staying in isolation was needed for Pietro to get his balance on life back together, it saddened him that he couldn't be with his friends and family at the holidays. He had already called Lockjaw to him and sent back with the dog gifts for both his daughter and wife. He, as always, was not allowed to join them.

Then, he had packages sent, by Fed-Ex of course, to the mansion. He knew his twin was there, though Lorna had been appearing in the news alot lately to his concern. But it was his sister's life to lead, and he wouldn't interfer unless she sought his council.

Still, he was the big brother, and gifts needed to be sent. So a package would arrive at both the mansion (for Wanda) and at the Bruce Wayne estate (for Lorna, as it was the only place he could think to send it)


On a delicate sterling silver necklace was this pendant. Of course, he had the colors personalized instead to a clear quartz and a deep ruby, to represent them. Along with it was a note.

Dearest Wanda -

For you. No matter how far I travel from you, you are still in my heart, our spirits intwined, always and forever. I miss you, my sister. Have a merry holiday.

Again, another sterling silver necklace but with a different charm, as it was a different sister. Lorna's had this pendant, straight from India. Hers also arrived with a note.

Lorna -

I saw this and thought of you. I found it on a recent trip to India. I hope you like it. I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, but I know if you really need me, you will have no trouble finding me. Or me you.

Another package also arrived to mansion with Emma Frost's name on it.


Inside the package was not a stuffed animal (because Pietro never did the in thing) and instead was a picture of this and a note with a tiny bag attached (that contained this).

Emma -
This is what I really wanted to get you for the holiday, but sadly I don't have that kind of money to throw around on myself or others. So instead, you'll have to settle for a picture, and a tiny substitute.

You are missed as well, and even dare I say I miss Scott at times. Perhaps we can catch up in a more private situation? I know you can find me if you really want to.

When Emma returned to the mansion after the 1st of the year, she saw the unopened gift and grinned. He should have known by now that when it came to him, it was truly the thought that mattered.

Cerebra was still up and running. She decided to use it to amplify her powers since she had no idea where Pietro might be at that exact moment. She sent out to him:

Why was it that when psychic women wanted to invade his brain, it was always at the worst possible moment. Like today.

He was in the shower. THE SHOWER! And it wasn't as if she was looking at him, but the thought of Emma's presence with him while he was in the shower was just kinda... dirty.

Not that Emma wasn't attractive, but even if he was estranged, he was still a married man!

He jumped as he heard the voice, hitting his head against the shower head and cussing up a storm. Quickly he turned the water off and reached for a towel.

And since he was pretty sure she was listening in for a response...

I'm staying with Mike in Genosha for a few days. You can come here, otherwise perhaps in New York City? There's some wonderful restaurants that I would love to try, and going to eat in them alone would not look right.

Emma's eyes widened. Genosha? She had (once upon a time) looked forward to rebuilding Genosha with Lorna's help. Now that Pietro's half-sister seemed interested in other matters, Emma had pushed the idea of Genosha away.

The fact that both Mike and Pietro were there made her happy and sad all at once.

{{It might not be a good idea for me to join you in Genosha just yet,}} she replied. {{New York sounds lovely. I'll arrange something for us both.}}

Later, she promised herself. Genosha would come later...

Wanda loves her gift and just hearing from him at all. She will probably write a whole post about it at some time.

Lorna is touched and a bit sad because she assumes he's upset with and worried about her same as everyone.

But both appreciate being remembered...

Heh. This is Pietro. he's ALWAYS worried about something.

I think he's also under the assumption that there was a falling out with Alex, and she left him to go to Bruce. Though I can tell you with his canon life, he will be very angry with her when he finds out that she was unfaithful, just because he's been the man that's had that happen to with his own wife being unable to remain faithful to him. So yeah.

And he misses his sister VERY much.
